Here at Little School in Fryeburg, children receive Waldorf Education in the one-room schoolhouse's quaint environment. In addition to full-spectrum Waldorf pedagogy, we work out of Rudolf Steiner's Curative approach to education which benefits all children including children with special needs.

As such, students' capacities are enhanced by daily walks, therapeutic movement, and craftsmanship. Academic learning is in tune with the child’s natural development and springs out of the direct experience, storytelling, art, and farm activities.

Our unique approach also enables us to tailor the academia to each child individually, according to where they are in their learning and development. More importantly, it helps children overcome learning challenges without being taken out of the classroom for special therapies.

Our School Setting
Little School is a part of a new homestead, small and beautiful with a view of the Kearsarge mountains in Fryeburg, Maine. There are herb and flower gardens, chickens, a forested area for a wilderness experience, and the Old Saco River slowly passing
through with its wildlife.
