In his Curative Lectures, Rudolf Steiner has described a number of out of balance inner conditions, that make one’s life difficult. In these conditions we have difficulties to learn, to communicate, to remember, to behave in a socially acceptable way, get stuck in repetitive movements or thoughts and so on. When the symptoms persist, in modern society we can get a diagnosis. Yet, none of this is unique and not experienced by us all at times. The difference is for how long the condition lasts, and how efficient we are in coming back to balance. Just like in the example described in my earlier post, “It Feels So Good To Know My Tables!, don’t we all at times struggle to remember something, what we thought we knew before? Like the car keys, people’s names, driving directions? If we can reassemble the mechanism, of our own remembering (re-membering) we will discover a clue on how to help a child with a weak “muscle” of bringing to consciousness what he may already know.

Working out of Steiner’s curative education in our school, we get to know each child and who they truly are in order to help remove the obstacles that prevent them from achieving their highest potential.
